Richard Royal's Biography

Born in 1952, Richard Royal`s professional career has been a commitment to creativity in blown art glass. For over 25 years, he has not only crafted magnificent works of blown glass, he has helped redefine the world of glass sculpture itself. Richard is a faculty member of the Pilchuck Glass School (Seattle, WA), and was the first Artist in Residence at the Waterford Crystal Factory (Ireland) in 1998 and 1999. A grant recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts, Richard has recently been associated with the Corning Museum of Glass, the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Ohio State University, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His work is featured in numerous museums throughout the world; and is proudly displayed in many public and private collections - including those of IBM, Safeco, and Westinghouse
